Scope
This policy applies to Rankerd’s marketing website, tutor account and the Rankerd services used to capture teaching material, create lesson updates, generate and review assignments, monitor attempts, analyse results and share parent-facing progress information. It covers personal information processed through those services and the support or demo forms on this website.
It does not replace a tutor’s own notice to students, parents or guardians. A tutor decides the lawful basis and notices needed for their teaching relationship.
Who operates Rankerd
The service is presented under the trading name Rankerd. The legal entity name, registered or business address, country of establishment and privacy contact role were not verified in the audited source. Those details must be inserted and approved before publication.
Our role and the tutor’s role
Rankerd provides software and infrastructure. A tutor chooses what to upload, which students or groups to assign, what to publish and what to share with a parent. For tutor-managed student records, the tutor may determine the purposes of processing and Rankerd may process the information to provide the service. The final controller or processor wording depends on the tutor’s jurisdiction and contract and requires legal confirmation.
Information provided directly
Depending on the feature used, a tutor may provide a name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, account credentials, profile details, organisation or group details, support messages, demo-form details, teaching notes, photos, scanned pages, PDFs, assignment settings and recipient information.
Google sign-in may provide an account identifier and basic profile information through Google’s authentication flow. Rankerd does not ask for a Google password.
Information generated through use
The service can generate lesson snapshots, parent-ready updates, questions and answers, assignment drafts, review status, publishing and recipient records, attempt status, scores, question-level results, student performance trends and tutor-edited content. These records may include personal information when a tutor enters it or links it to a student.
Technical and usage information
Rankerd’s application and APIs can receive account and session identifiers, request metadata, device or browser details, IP address, timestamps, error information and security or audit events needed to authenticate accounts, prevent abuse, deliver notifications and troubleshoot the service. The exact analytics configuration, named cookies and hosting regions were not verified in the marketing source.
How information is used
- Provide, secure and improve tutor accounts, lesson updates, assignments, monitoring, results and reporting.
- Generate drafts and diagnostics requested by a tutor, then preserve tutor review and publishing controls.
- Send support responses, requested demo information and service or security notices.
- Process subscription status and protect against fraud, abuse or unauthorised access.
- Meet legal obligations, enforce terms and maintain operational records.
AI-assisted processing
Rankerd’s source includes AI-assisted generation and provider integrations for lesson and assignment content. Configured provider options include Gemini, DeepSeek and Moonshot/Kimi code paths, but the active production provider, regional routing, provider retention and whether submitted content is used for provider training were not verified. That provider inventory and contract language must be confirmed before publication.
Generated content is decision support. Tutors must review questions, answers, summaries and insights for accuracy, appropriateness and personal-data minimisation before sharing or relying on them.
Student and children’s information
A tutor may enter student names, contact details, group membership, attempts, scores and performance notes. Rankerd is not intended for a child to create an account independently. The age threshold, parental-consent model, school or tutor obligations and jurisdiction-specific child-privacy process were not verified and require legal approval. Tutors must obtain any permissions required before collecting or sharing a student’s information.
Cookies and browser storage
The marketing source did not identify a configured optional analytics provider or a named cookie inventory. The application may use browser storage or cookies for authentication, security, saved preferences and service operation. See the Cookie Policy for the current verified inventory and the items that remain to be confirmed.
When information is shared
Information may be shared with service providers that host databases or files, deliver email, authenticate users, process subscriptions, provide AI-assisted generation, monitor security or support the service. The provider list, regions, contractual safeguards and data-use terms require confirmation.
A tutor can assign tests to a student or group and may share an assignment or parent report through a link or WhatsApp. Rankerd does not choose the tutor’s recipients.
Public and shared links
Some assignment attempts or reports may be opened from a link shared by a tutor. Anyone who obtains a link may be able to view the content permitted by that link. Tutors should share links only with intended recipients and avoid putting sensitive information in a public-facing title or message.
International processing
Rankerd may use providers or infrastructure outside a tutor’s country. Data-hosting provider, primary database provider, processing regions and transfer safeguards were not verified. Do not publish a final international-transfer statement until those facts and the applicable transfer mechanism are approved.
Data retention
Information is retained while an account, assignment, support request, security investigation or legal obligation requires it. No fixed retention schedule for production records, logs, backups, AI prompts or provider copies was verified. The final schedule should define deletion, backup expiry, legal holds and dormant-account handling.
Account, content and organisation deletion
The API supports tutor account deletion with a confirmation step and blocks deletion when the user is the only active organisation owner. An organisation owner can request organisation deletion; the audited implementation revokes refresh tokens and deletes organisation-scoped rows in a transaction. Backup and provider-copy deletion timelines were not verified. Contact support@rankerd.com for a request while the final process is being documented.
Security and data-breach response
Rankerd uses authentication, refresh-token revocation, access controls, honeypots and rate limits in the audited application and public forms. No security measure eliminates all risk. The incident response owner, notification timelines and regulator or affected-person process were not verified and require approval.
Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, a person may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Send a request to support@rankerd.com with enough information to locate the record. Identity checks, response timelines, appeal routes and the privacy contact name or role remain legal-review items.
Marketing communications
Rankerd may send service messages required to operate an account. Optional marketing messages should be sent only where a valid consent or other lawful basis exists and should include an unsubscribe method. The current marketing-provider configuration and preference centre were not verified.
Payment information
The application integrates with PayPal for subscription checkout and status. Payment credentials are handled through the payment provider; Rankerd receives the account and transaction information needed to grant or remove access. The final tax treatment, renewal behaviour, refunds and payment-record retention require confirmation in the Terms and provider contracts.
Business transfers and legal disclosures
Information may be disclosed where required by law, court process, fraud prevention, protection of rights or a corporate transaction such as a merger or asset sale. The legal entity and notice process for such a transfer must be confirmed.
Policy changes
Rankerd may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date and version above should be updated, and material changes should be communicated through an appropriate channel.
Contact and complaints
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact support@rankerd.com or use the Contact page. The responsible privacy contact, grievance route and supervisory-authority information require legal confirmation.
