1. Who We Are
Rankerd is a test tool for tutors and coaching centers. Our public site focuses on Singapore and Malaysia. Tutors use Rankerd to make draft MCQ tests from class material. They review the questions, share student links, view ranked results, and prepare parent reports.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the data needed to run and protect Rankerd. This includes:
- Account data, such as tutor name, email, center name, login details, plan status, and support messages.
- Student names or labels added by tutors. This can include answers, scores, time stamps, completion state, and attempt records.
- Uploaded notes, worksheet images, textbook photos, or other teaching material. Rankerd uses this material to prepare draft questions for tutor review.
- Parent report links and report content made from assessment results.
- Technical data, such as browser type, device details, logs, IP address, security events, and usage records.
3. How We Use Data
We use this information to run Rankerd. We create and store tests. We support tutor review. We send student links, calculate results, prepare parent reports, answer support requests, improve reliability, prevent abuse, protect accounts, and manage plans.
4. AI Processing of Uploaded Material
When tutors upload notes, worksheets, images, PDFs, textbook excerpts, or other teaching material, Rankerd may process that content with third-party AI providers to extract text, understand the material, and generate draft questions or explanations. Depending on configuration, these providers may include Google Gemini, Moonshot/Kimi, DeepSeek, or other providers we enable for question generation.
Rankerd does not permit tutors to use uploaded content in ways they are not legally allowed to use. Tutors are responsible for making sure they have the right to upload copyrighted material, student work, and student personal data. Tutors should avoid uploading unnecessary personal data and should remove or mask sensitive information where it is not needed for the assessment.
Rankerd does not use tutor uploads, student answers, generated questions, or parent reports to train Rankerd-owned foundation models. Third-party AI providers may process submitted content only to provide the requested service, subject to their own enterprise/API terms and our configuration. If a provider offers a no-training or data-control setting, Rankerd is configured to prefer that setting where available.
5. Payments
Payment firms handle billing. Rankerd does not store full card numbers. We may receive payment status, plan details, invoices, receipts, customer IDs, and limited billing data. We use this to turn plans on, manage renewals, and answer billing questions.
6. Student and Parent Data
Tutors choose which student names, classes, and parent reports they create in Rankerd. Tutors are responsible for student and parent consent. This applies before they add student data, share attempt links, upload student work, or send parent report links.
Where students are minors, tutors and coaching centers are responsible for obtaining any required parent or guardian consent before adding student personal data, uploading student material, or sharing assessment and parent report links.
7. Sharing and Vendors
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with vendors that help us host Rankerd, store files, process payments, send messages, run analytics, provide support, detect abuse, or keep the service secure. They may only use the data to provide those services.
8. Security
We use safeguards to protect account, test, upload, and report data. No online service is fully secure. Tutors should use strong passwords, limit dashboard access, and avoid uploading personal data they do not need.
9. How Long We Keep Data
We keep account, test, generated question, student attempt, parent report, billing, support, and log data for as long as needed to provide Rankerd, meet legal duties, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and keep business records. Uploaded material used for question generation may be retained while the related test, generation job, audit trail, or support need remains active. Tutors may delete tests or request deletion of account data, subject to legal, security, billing, backup, and abuse-prevention requirements.
Unless a shorter product setting or legal requirement applies, Rankerd aims to remove or de-identify unused uploaded source material and generation intermediates after they are no longer needed for the tutor workflow, support, security, or backup recovery. Generated questions, approved tests, attempt records, and parent reports may remain until the tutor deletes them or the account is closed, subject to backup and legal retention.
10. Your Choices
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Some data may need to stay where required for security, law, billing, backups, or disputes.
