Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing Rankerd or using a paid feature, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you use Rankerd for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation to these terms.
Eligibility and authority
Rankerd is designed for independent tutors and tutoring businesses. The minimum tutor age, location restrictions and authority requirements were not verified and must be approved before publication. Do not create an account if you cannot legally agree to these terms.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials and sign-in devices secure, and notifying Rankerd of suspected unauthorised access. Google authentication may be available. You must not share credentials or allow another person to use your account in a way that bypasses access controls.
The service
Rankerd provides tools for capturing or entering teaching material, producing lesson updates and AI-assisted assignment drafts, reviewing and publishing tests, assigning them to students or groups, monitoring attempts, analysing results and preparing parent-facing reports. Features and limits can change as the service develops.
AI-assisted content
AI-assisted content is generated from the material and settings you submit. It can be incomplete, incorrect, biased or unsuitable. You must review every question, answer, lesson update, insight and report before publishing, assigning or sharing it. Rankerd does not promise a particular score, diagnosis, learning outcome or generation time.
Tutor responsibility
You decide what information to collect, whether a student may participate, what assessment is appropriate, who receives a link and what action to take from a result. You are responsible for complying with education, privacy, copyright, safeguarding and communications laws that apply to your tutoring relationship.
Students, parents and groups
You must have authority to add a student, parent or group and must provide any required notices or consents. Students may open an assignment in a browser; they do not receive an independent Rankerd account unless the service explicitly supports it. Do not use Rankerd to expose one student’s information to another.
User content
You retain ownership of teaching material and other content you submit. You grant Rankerd the limited rights needed to host, process, display and transmit it to provide the service, including generating requested drafts and delivering content to recipients you select. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed for that processing.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. You must not submit sensitive information unless the feature and your legal basis support it.
Acceptable use
You must not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe or bypass Rankerd’s security; upload malware or unlawful material; infringe rights; harass or impersonate another person; use the service for high-risk decisions; or use generated content as a substitute for professional, medical, legal or safeguarding advice.
Public and shared links
You are responsible for recipients and access settings for links you share. Anyone who obtains a link may be able to view the permitted assignment, attempt or report. Revoke or stop sharing a link when it is no longer needed.
Subscriptions and trial
Rankerd may offer plans or a trial. The plan price, included limits, trial eligibility and end-of-trial behaviour must be shown at checkout. The current subscription renewal behaviour and any usage limits were not verified and require commercial and legal approval.
PayPal and payment
PayPal may process checkout, payment credentials and transaction confirmation. You authorise the applicable payment provider to charge the selected method under the checkout terms. Rankerd may receive subscription and transaction status needed to provide access; its payment-record retention and tax treatment require confirmation.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds
Renewal timing, cancellation effective date, prorating, refunds, failed payments and post-cancellation access are not stated here until verified against the billing implementation and commercial policy. Do not rely on this working draft for a purchase decision; confirm the checkout disclosure before launch.
Taxes
Any applicable taxes, invoices and withholding responsibilities depend on the legal entity, customer location and payment arrangement. The tax treatment was not verified and requires approval.
Intellectual property
Rankerd’s software, name, branding and service materials are protected by applicable rights. Except for the limited use allowed by these terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create a competing service from them.
Feedback
If you send suggestions, you allow Rankerd to use them without restriction or payment, provided it does not identify you publicly without permission.
Third-party services
Google, PayPal, AI providers, email delivery, hosting, storage and messaging services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Rankerd is not responsible for a third party’s independent service or outage. The provider inventory and contractual allocation of responsibility require confirmation.
Availability and changes to the service
Rankerd may add, remove or adjust features, limits and integrations. We may perform maintenance or suspend access to protect the service. We will use reasonable notice for material changes where practical.
Beta features
Features labelled beta, preview or experimental may be incomplete and may change or be withdrawn. The current beta inventory was not verified; this section applies only if such a feature is clearly labelled.
Suspension and termination
Rankerd may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, unlawful use, breach of these terms or service discontinuation. You may stop using the service. Any required notice, cure period and post-termination access must be confirmed in the final terms.
Deletion and export
The API supports tutor account and organisation deletion with confirmation and role safeguards. Deletion can remove organisation-scoped records and revoke sessions. Backup and provider-copy timelines, export format and any legal hold are not verified. Request help at support@rankerd.com before deleting content you need.
Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Rankerd does not warrant that generated content is accurate, uninterrupted, secure or fit for a particular teaching decision. Mandatory consumer or statutory rights are not excluded.
Liability
Any exclusion or cap on liability must be drafted for the applicable jurisdiction and commercial model. No liability limit is stated in this working draft. Do not publish this section without counsel approving the categories of loss, carve-outs and cap.
Indemnity
Any indemnity for unlawful content, rights violations or misuse must be drafted with jurisdiction-appropriate limits and consumer protections. This working draft does not create a final indemnity obligation.
Governing law and disputes
The governing law, court or arbitration location, language and dispute process were not verified. These terms must not be published until the legal entity and dispute forum are approved.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. The effective date and version should be updated, and material changes should be communicated through an appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions should continue. These terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any order or plan terms form the agreement for the service. Assignment, force majeure, notices and language clauses require jurisdiction-specific drafting.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@rankerd.com or through the Contact page. For information handling, read the Privacy Policy; for browser storage, read the Cookie Policy.
